Spook The Horses Announce Album 'Empty Body' + Drop Single / Video 'Self-Destroyer'
Spook The Horses' new cut 'Self Destroyer' will rip you to shreds and shock you back to life in time for the weekend. It's the first sound to reach our ears from their upcoming fourth album Empty Body, which lead vocalist Callum Gay says signals the return of a noisier Spook The Horses sound, describing it as an "ugly album" and "exactly the right type of exhausting”. Although the Pōneke post-metal crew have had to wave goodbye to a series of UK and Europe shows, the forced hiatus has driven them to hone their live performance and new songs. The video for 'Self Destroyer', created by visual band member Max Telfer, looks exactly how the song sounds. It's an all-encompassing sensory overload, moving at high speeds through live band footage that dips in and out of abstraction and dimensions. 'Empty Body', the fourth album from Spook The Horses, is out Friday 28th August via Pelagic Records.
