Imbued with mystical musical powers and cartooning prowess, multi-instrumentalist Finn Scholes and Carnivorous Plant Society return to the stage this month, playing a special double show extravaganza at Tāmaki Makaurau's fabled The Wine Cellar. Anyone who's attended a CPS event will know music is only half of the equation, as audiences are often treated to mind-bending animated visuals to complement the bands' aural flights of fancy. With two albums in two years under their belt – 2019's The People Below and 2018's The New King – plus an absolutely unforgettable graphic novel to boot, you'd have to be some kind of sucker to miss Scholes and the gang back in action this month. Carnivorous Plant Society are celebrating being back into playing with two seated shows at The Wine Cellar. They will perform new material written during lock down along with some of their hits. The shows will be seated to allow for social distancing so tickets are limited.
