Listen To Alexa Casino's Single 'Keep Breathing'
Tāmaki Makaurau-based electronic artist Alexa Casino continues a stunning run of single releases with 'Keep Breathing', a shimmering cyber-ballad originally written two years ago and brought back to life for today's release. In an interview with 95bFM yesterday, Casino opened up about how the song draws on feelings of grief, both for her deceased aunt and pet bulldog (who is sampled in the song), stating it's about "coping mechanisms in those times."
In conjunction with Bandcamp waiving their revenue on sales from 7.00pm tonight to 7.00pm Saturday 6th June, Casino states "all proceeds donated to Black Lives Matter LGBTQ Freedom Fund." Open your ears to 'Keep Breathing' and scroll down for footage of the artist performing her song live in her home during lockdown, originally recorded for RNZ Music...
