Soda Boyz Share New Album 'Farewell Spit'
Self-described “coffee-punks” Soda Boyz have lifted the lid of an album that's been two years in the making, and it shows. Every cymbal hit, chord and the space in between them on Farewell Spit has been painstakingly composed, with the trio leaning heavily into their penchant for tension and dynamics. Based in Pōneke, the slow core trio worked with producer James Goldsmith on this album, which will be pressed to vinyl via local label Papaiti Records. Farewell Spit is mostly instrumental besides 'Spit' and lead single 'Bad Friend', and the 8-track collection ebbs, flows, then knocks you over with rogue waves of cymbal crash and rattling guitar fuzz. Watch this space for future tours when it's safe to do so, and get ready to experience some big feelings on Farewell Spit...
'Farewell' Spit is out today digitally and on vinyl LP via Papaiti Records.
