Watch Repairs' Video For 'Last Chances'
Tāmaki Makaurau's Repairs deliver an emotional one-two punch with a new clip for their latest single 'Last Chances'. The trio of Nicola Edwards, Martin Phillips and James Milne's [not those guys - Ed.] first ever video release was produced and directed by Kat Waswo (WAZKAT Productions) during Level 3 alert, using monochromatic footage and a cute / creepy stuffed toy to amplify the muscular track's introspective tale of a life locked inside an endless cycle of toxic relationships. Recent contributors to the No Sound: A Nivara Lounge Fundraiser compilation, Repairs promise more releases are on the way in 2020. Waswo opened up about the process of creating the video for 'Last Chances'...
“I like the challenge of pushing the boundaries of typical performance-based music videos... I really feel this song... I could see the story unfold as soon as I heard it.
It was actually a nice outlet for me to unleash my inner goth. Like, come on teddy - we’re going crying."
