Melted Ice Cream Announce Better Living TV Weekly Livestreams
I scream, you scream, we all screamed for another Melted Ice Cream streaming festival, and label head honcho Brian Feary has gone above and beyond, serving up new weekly music livestream Better Living TV. The recent Better Living, Everyone! Streaming Festival was a runaway success with tens of thousands of people tuning in over two nights to catch some of the best talent Aotearoa has to offer, and the joy just keeps coming with the first of many streams going live this Friday. Richard Barnacle and Hamish Campbell of Ōtautahi venue Space Academy have taken the reigns on gig curation this time around, announcing a lineup including Motte (Anita Clark), Kraus, Yolanda Fagan (Echo Ohs, Na Noise), Birdation (Death and the Maiden, Bad Sav), Centre Negative, and The Bats power couple Paul Kean and Kaye Woodward playing a stripped back Minisnap set. Take in the full lineup below and see how you can be part of the virtual mosh pit...

Press Release:
Drumroll please: MIC are Announcing Better Living TV!
Over a million hippies in the same place. You could walk into the crowd sober, wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers and come out red-eyed stoned, wearing a poncho, a peace sign necklace and bell bottoms.
That was Woodstock 69. You weren’t there. But you were at ‘Better Living, Everyone!’
Melted Ice Cream’s streaming festival, ‘Better Living, Everyone!’, was shockingly good. Over the course of two days, 34 acts performed via their phone cameras on meltedicececream.co.nz to captive* audiences. It was a roaring success.
So shockingly good that, just like Woodstock had sequels Woodstock ‘79, ‘89, and Woodstock ‘99 (when the riots broke out during the Limp Bizkit set), Melted Ice Cream are planning on recreating the phenomenon by turning it into a weekly ‘TV show’ - an online gig, every Friday evening that you can stream and watch on your TV (or on any device of your choice).
Christchurch venue Space Academy’s Richard and Hamish have been tasked with curating the shows, continuing the tradition of quality gigs with excellent lineups their venue has gained an international reputation for.
Better Living TV. Every Friday night until the end of Lockdown (and maybe even after). Tune in from 7pm at http://meltedicecream.co.nz/.
*Literally captive. During Level 4 lockdown, audiences were by law required to watch Better Living, Everyone.
