Set phasers to “stunning” because Pōneke cyber-pop producer Hybrid Rose has just dropped a spaced out video for new track 'Mr. Spaceman' featuring And$um. After making her vocal debut on last year’s 'Dream Team', 'Spaceman' once again sees Hybrid Rose's voice front and centre, trading verses with Christchurch rapper And$sum over shimmering RnB inflected synth-pop. The video, directed by Hybrid Rose (Rose Muollo-Gray) and Raphaella Holder-Monk, sees Rose launched into the starry sky from the windy hills of Wellington.

Hybrid Rose explained the inspiration behind the track, “I really wanted to make a song that captures that isolation that one can feel when they’re in a situation they don’t want to be in. Having a rapper on this track experiments with the contrasting possibilities - Creatively, I liked the idea of bringing two worlds together and I’m a huge fan of And$um’s work so when he expressed his interest, I knew he’d be perfect.”
