In the mess of pandemic, economic catastrophe and carrying the child of Elon Musk, Grimes (Claire Boucher) invites fans into her creative process for a worldwide digital collaboration. Better known for her wildly dynamic, other-worldly videos, the visual accompaniments for her latest album Miss Anthropocene have had the pregnant pop star keeping her own movements to a minimum, while whimsical animated worlds twist around her, as Grimes explained "doing our regular intensive videos in my state didn’t seem super wise". For sick track 'You'll Miss Me When I'm Not Around', she puts the bulk of the art direction in your hands, sharing a pulled back performance clip backdropped only by an enormous green screen. Stems, video files, lyrics and cover art are all freely available via this WeTransfer link, and she's encouraging anyone and everyone to give it a whack, then upload their work to Youtube, Twitter or Instagram with #GrimesArtKit.
