Joining the long list of love songs named after important women in songwriters' lives, today Sulfate aka Peter Ruddell (Wax Chattels) shares 'Song For Ruth'. More along the lines of lighter tracks 'Cyclone Pt. 1' and 'Automatic Juicer' from his self-titled debut album, instrumental tune 'Song For Ruth' is as gentle and soft as the special tortoiseshell lady in his life the song is about. Written on the first day of nationwide lockdown, Ruddell says the song was "Calming to make" and "hopefully calming for you to listen to". You've hit it for six Pete. Here's hoping more heavy hitters come out of the woodwork in coming weeks to serenade their cats...
The self-titled debut album from Sulfate is out now via Prison Tapes.
