Reb Fountain Announces National Tour + Unveils Single 'When Gods Lie'

Flying Nun's latest signee Reb Fountain shares the second single from her forthcoming self-titled album as a limited edition 7" vinyl disc, featuring new song 'When Gods Lie' and exclusive B-side 'Round The Bend' (not available online). The Veils' frontman and longtime collaborator Finn Andrews cameos on the lead track, creating a booming vocal bed for soaring strings and Fountain's bewitching voice. Today's release coincides with a chilling clip directed by Lola Fountain-Best, visualising 'Whens God Lie' through Fountain and musician Earl Robertson as masked characters. They communicate through dance and touch, sometimes human and sometimes other-worldly, as Fountain explains "those gods that we believed would hold us in our stupor forever, let go … for they are only human by design". In addition to the news of her new 7", the Auckland-based folk artist rolls out a massive run of album release tour dates in the wake of her self-titled debut Flying Nun record – note these dates in your diary...
