Listen To The First Release From 'Mansfield' Compilation
The last poem Katherine Mansfield ever wrote is the text that sparked French For Rabbits' 'The Wounded Bird', the first single shared from compilation Mansfield – a twelve-track dedication to the works of one of Aotearoa's greatest writers. Spearheaded by Pōneke songwriter Charlotte Yates, the collection draws from Mansfield's most-loved poetry, using the prose as lyrics for brand new music composed by a stellar line-up of New Zealand artists. French For Rabbits vocalist Brooke Singer took inspiration from Mansfield's piece The Wounded Bird, with the rest of the songs due out Thursday 20th of February featuring contributions from Lawrence Arabia, The Bats, Lorina Harding, Julia Deans, Lontalius, Delaney Davidson and more. Take a moment to enjoy the craft of Katherine Mansfield in Singer's chilling reimagining, and look ahead to the album's North Island launch parties in June...
'Mansfield' is out February 20th via Rhythmethod.
