Premiere: ONONO Shares Synth-Pop Single 'Fontelina'
When he's not drumming around the UK and Europe with Hans Pucket, or opening for Taylor Swift with Broods, Jono Nott fronts his psych-pop project ONONO in Pōneke. His latest single 'Fontelina' (named after a synthesiser patch) takes the ONONO sound in a new, more pop focussed direction, drawing from production techniques heard in Robyn and Toro Y Moi tracks, and teeming with 80s synth. Nott says the new release is a self-reflective piece, having written and recorded it since releasing his delectable 2018 EP Stand, and is the first hint at an upcoming collection rolling out over the next six months. ONONO will treat Pōneke crowds to a bunch of unreleased music at Meow on Saturday 30th November with local electronic-pop artist CRYSTAL. Prepare for an ONONO summer with 'Fontelina'...
