Listen To Jeff Henderson's Album 'The Charming Clarinet'
Tāmaki Makaurau-based experimental champion Jeff Henderson (Superstarz) has unveiled a brand new collection gregariously titled The Charming Clarinet, shedding light on a universe of sounds wrangled from his humble Bb and C clarinets. Recorded live at Pōneke's Pyramid Club last summer, in collaboration on selected tracks with Isaac Smith and Daniel Beban (Orchestra Of Spheres), mere words couldn't hope to convey the multidimensional sensations transmitted by Henderson's woodwind instruments – leading listeners through drone-like explorations of tone and texture, stop-on-a-dime alien squelch-scapes, and dizzying realms far outside the scope of conventional "music" altogether.
