Drab Majesty Returning To New Zealand In February 2020
After near-instantaneous sell out shows when they were here in January, Drab Majesty will return for two more synth-drenched summer headline events. Since the Los Angeles duo were last in Aotearoa they’ve unleashed their third studio album Modern Mirror, an 80s inflected electronic-pop win, inspired by ancient Greek mythology and landscapes. Fronted by Deb Demure aka Andrew Clinco (Marriages) and Mona D aka Alex Nicolaou, Drab Majesty maintain a bold aesthetic that evolves with their music, melding goth, futuristic and punk stylings to varying degrees. Their two North Island shows will be a sight to behold, find out how you can secure your spot below…

Press release:
Since 2015, Drab Majesty have steadily established themselves amongst the pantheon of dark synth-pop greats, establishing a devoted fanbase worldwide with their singular hypnotic sound and mysterious, constantly-evolving presence. On their third full-length, this year’s critically acclaimed ‘Modern Mirror’, artists Deb Demure and their collaborator Mona D looked to the landscapes of Athens and mythology of ancient Greece to bring a fresh twist to Drab Majesty’s post-punk-meets-science-fiction aesthetic.
Having made their live debut in New Zealand across an almost immediately sold out tour in January, Drab Majesty will make their second voyage down under to give their ever-growing and surprisingly diverse followers the headline shows they’ve been begging for.
