Raiza Biza Drops New Album 'Bygones'
Rwandan-Kiwi hip hop artist Raiza Biza has made serious waves via collaborative cuts with such global heavy hitters as Oddisee and Sampa The Great, along with his crucial contribution to last year's High Beams mini-album with IllBaz and Melodownz. The Tāmaki Makaurau / Hamilton-based rapper today steps into the spotlight with an entire new solo album named Bygones, following up 2018's excellent Black Hole Sun collection, a collab with Melbourne's REMI. Featuring the aforementioned Oddisee-featuring tune 'Trouble' and reflective lead single 'Stolen Youth', Raiza Biza draws on personal experience to address themes both serious and fun across the album's nine soul-inflected, club-bumping tracks, with Blaze the Emperor, Embher and producer VULC all jumping in to lend an assist at various points.
