Karnan Saba & Hone Be Good Drop Album 'Bird Of Paradise'
Aotearoa's Years Gone By Records, a new independent imprint helmed by Taite Music Prize 2019 winner Tom Scott, have followed last week's illuminating documentary Don't Quit Your Day Job with their second release Bird of Paradise, showcasing the joint collaborative talents of Pōneke via Sri Lanka producer Karnan Saba (Avantdale Bowling Club - Water Medley) and Tāmaki Makaurau lyricist Hone Be Good (Side Steps Quintet). Genre-defying sonics meet dome-stretching lyricism and irresistible grooves, over eight tracks sure to reward deep listening on the new collection. Hone Be Good opened up about the ideas and feelings expressed throughout Bird of Paradise, stating: “These songs are about love but they aren’t love songs. These are songs of knowing exactly what you want until you get it. These songs are about the unimaginable becoming irrelevant. These are moments of weakness realised in stone-cold clarity."
'Bird of Paradise' is out now digitally and on vinyl via Years Gone By Records.
