Toitū Te Whenua - Ihumātao Fundraiser Collection Released

A fundraiser compilation has been released in support of the ongoing protests at Ihumātao, showcasing sixteen waiata gifted by artists from throughout Aotearoa including Rob Ruha, Che Fu, Seth Haapu, Fable NZ & Bobandii, JessB, Mara TK & Troy Kingi, Tiki Taane & Concord Dawn and many more. Named Toitū Te Whenua (He Kohikohinga Waiata Vol​.​1), the collection derives its title from "an ancient Māori proverb - 'whatungarongaro he tangata toitū te whenua' (people come and go but the land remains) it is a wero (challenge) for us all to heed the warning signs of Papatuānuku (Mother Nature)."
