Adam Hattaway And The Haunters Unveil Single 'Control It'
Christchurch's Adam Hattaway And The Haunters are gearing up to steamroll across Aotearoa on the release tour for their sophomore album Crying Lessons, and have released a snappy new tune to get you hollering with delight before the main event kicks off next week. Clocking in at under two minutes and penned by none other than Lyttelton songwriting maestro Delaney Davidson, the affable Hattaway puts his heart on the line in 'Control It' as he pleads for a just a little lovin'. Hattaway opened up about the secret origins of the raunchy tune...
“Delaney had me and Elmore over making us his fucking impeccable pizza (he used to be a chef did you know that) and we saw him even make the dough.
He started showing us some demos he'd been working on for other projects, and Elmore and I, as soon as we heard it said "GIVE US THAT ONE IT IS FOR US!" And he said "Well, to tell you the truth, I'd already imagined you singing it, strolling down by the river with a rock n roll swagger." And so of course we had to have it.”
