Surf Friends Roll Out Single 'New Wheels' + Video
Tāmaki Makaurau guitar / electronic-pop pals Surf Friends recently reemerged with 'Outdoors', the breezily catchy lead track from their first long player in six years Doing Your Thing, encouraging listeners to get off their bums and get amongst it irl. They've kept the ball rolling with 'New Wheels', an upbeat locked groove juggernaut of wave-riding guitar jangle and optimistic reverbed vocals. The energising new tune comes along with a cinematic widescreen clip by Sammi Kim depicting the team of Brad Coley and Peter Westmoreland's pavement-shredding skateboard antics, getting us even more hyped to hear the whole record – releasing in late July via the crew at Flying Nun Records. Wrap your eyes and ears around Surf Friends' snappy single and catch them tearing it up at their Doing Your Thing launch party at Auckland's Thirsty Dog Tavern, with NT Honey, Power Nap and DJ's Jonny and Big Hungry...
