Liam K. Swiggs Drops Collection 'SMOKO BREAKZ'

Ōtautahi beatsmith Liam K. Swiggs, founder of electronic dance imprint Big Fresh Collective, has unveiled Smoko Breakz, a ten track showcase for his self-declared brand of FootMahi. Smoko Breakz gathers together previously released singles with unreleased material, or as Swiggs puts it, “just a whole lot of shit I’ve been holding onto that I’m looking to take up to the line and offload”. The tracks featured are varied yet cohesive, with blazed breakbeats and sampled vocal lines from such wide-ranging sources including Nesian Mystik, Everything But The Girl and even legendary rocker Neil Young being the binding agents for this delicious aural delicacy. Highlights include the gloriously titled ‘Earth Wind And Breaks’, ‘Old Man Take A Look At My Mahi’ and the grimey stylings of ‘Rules Of The Dance’, but it's all great stuff.
