Alphabethead Shares Two Tracks From New Album 'Leisure World'
Wellington master turntablist and producer Alphabethead aka David Morrison has unveiled two tracks from his freshly announced upcoming "album / psychedelic-beat-adventure" Leisure World, a whopping thirty track collection heading our way in 2019. According to the sonic imagineer himself, Leisure World "embraces brevity and fun and is a bunch of little 2-3 minute movie scene / moods inspired by 8-Bit video games, soul, psych-rock, trap and Bollywood soundtracks". Lead single 'Eyes Of Nothing' delivers an overdose of heavy funk, club-rattling synths and spacey tomfoolery, while accompanying tune 'The Whirly Dirly Rock Conspiracy' dives into a zoned out realm of exotica-tinged electronics and cinematic grooves. When he's not creating mind-expanding dancefloor slammers and wowing crowds with his technical prowess, the one-time NZ DMC champ lends his jaw-dropping skills to genre-shredding trio The All Seeing Hand. Listen to 'Eyes Of Nothing' and 'The Whirly Dirly Rock Conspiracy' here, keep your ears peeled for Leisure World later this year, and gaze upon the awesome artwork below...
