New Zealand songwriting legends Delaney Davidson and Barry Saunders (The Warratahs) have unveiled their collaborative album Word Gets Around, ahead of their nationwide release tour this May. The nine track release is the first collaborative collection from the duo, packed with country-rock instant anthems from start to finish. Davidson and Saunders met on the Churches Tour in 2015 and have since toured together, with recording being the organic next step. Davidson said the record happened “all pretty quick - these songs just started appearing out of the kitchen air and we were grabbing them as fast as we could”. The creative collision of these two mighty talents has produced an album with all the darkness and driving force of Davidson, and the warm, classic sounds Saunders is known for.
