Aldous Harding Shares New Album 'Designer'
One of 2019's most anticipated releases is out today, as Aldous Harding has finally unveiled her third studio album Designer, following the global success of her Taite Music Prize-winning 2017 long-player Party. Both immediately inviting and bewitchingly opaque in its lyrical and instrumental charms, the Lyttelton songwriter's latest record ranges from haunted psych-folk to intimate chamber-pop, with moments such as the chilly and minimal 'Damn' recalling Nico's solo work. Produced by John Parish (who also worked on Party), the album's new songs certainly live up to the exceptionally high bar raised by lead singles 'The Barrel' and 'Fixture Picture', and will hopefully be framed by more amazing videos to come. Check out Annabel Kean's interview with Harding about her visionary collection here, and dive into Designer below...
'Designer' is out today via Flying Nun Records (NZ) and 4AD (rest of the world).
