Mermaidens Drop Hypnotic Video 'You Maintain The Stain'

Two thirds of Wellington trio Mermaidens have created an awesomely uncomfortable video for recent single 'You Maintain the Stain'. A cropped image of bassist Lily Paris West singing and grimacing is layered atop wriggling, glitching negatives in purples and greens. Created by West and drummer Abe Hollingsworth, the clip has dropped in time for the band to say farewell ahead of their Europe tour this May. The split single 'You maintain the Stain' / 'Cut It Open' was released earlier this month on 7" vinyl via Flying Nun, and the band have just wrapped up their NZ tour celebrating the record.
