Auckland's trailblazing student radio station 95bFM celebrated their 50th anniversary in style at The Powerstation on Friday. The landmark 95bFM Gold event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and featured performances by punk rising stars Miss June, Auckland rap legend Coco Solid and Wellington stoner rock stalwarts Beastwars. The centrepiece for the evening was a star-studded showcase of local hip hop from across the ages courtesy of the station's long-running True School Hip Hop Show, whose generation-spanning extravaganza included special guests SWIDT, Church & AP, Mareko, Melodownz, and Dam Native wielding the Māori flag while busting out his classic track 'Behold My Cool Style'.
