Four titanic forces in the realm of Wellington heavy music converged upon the sun-soaked location of Upper Hutt's Panhead Brewery on Saturday for the inaugural Obey The Riff festival, featuring veteran guitar wreckers Head Like A Hole and Beastwars, alongside emerging psych-rockers Earth Tongue and thrash maniacs Stälker. Beastwars are back in action after a health-related hiatus to celebrate their tenth anniversary, they're next bringing their signature skull-crushing metal onslaught to Auckland for this Friday's 95bFM Gold 50th anniversary event, playing with The Original World Famous True School Hip Hop Show, Coco Solid and Miss June.
