Tiny Ruins Share New Album 'Olympic Girls'
Auckland-based songwriter Hollie Fullbrook and her Tiny Ruins band have at last unveiled their hugely anticipated third studio album Olympic Girls, delivering on the promise of magical earlier singles 'How Much', 'School of Design', 'Holograms' and the title track. Recorded by bandmate Tom Healy, the eleven track collection is a collaborative work with creative input from all members of the group, featuring Cass Basil on bass, Alex Freer on drums and Healy on electric guitar. They're celebrating the new release with an intimate pair of shows in Auckland and Wellington this March before heading back overseas to conquer the world. A lushly recorded showcase for Fullbrook's meditative lyrical themes and the band's delicate instrumentation, Olympic Girls' multi-faceted details are sure to continue to reward deep listeners into the future.
