Delaney Davidson & Bruce Russell Announce Album 'One Hand Loose' + Share Single
Lyttelton guitar mavericks Delaney Davidson and Bruce Russell (The Dead C) have announced the upcoming release of One Hand Loose, a collaborative record celebrating the work of US rockabilly pioneer Charlie Feathers, who was a direct formative influence on Elvis Presley. They've also unveiled the self-declared "improbable" collection's untamed lead single 'Ghost on The River', highlighting both artists' distinct yet strangely synergistic instrumental techniques - Davidson strums haunting chords over rib-rattling percussive thuds while Russell's squalling strings roam free. The seven track album was recorded direct to TEAC four-track tape by ‘Shaking’ Luke Wood (The Hex Waves) and is available for pre-order on limited edition 12" vinyl LP via his imprint Ilam Press Records, ahead of its launch on 1st February. Davidson spoke about the upcoming record in our recent interview with the itinerant artist you can read here, wrap your ears around 'Ghost on The River'...
You can catch Bruce Russell playing with his legendary noise group The Dead C at Auckland's Laneway Festival 2019 on Monday 28th January.
