Shayne Carter's legendary group Straitjacket Fits made a long-awaited return to their hometown's Captain Cook for a triumphant two night headline performance on Thursday and Friday, playing in tandem for his moody follow-up project Dimmer for an epic evening of songs from throughout Carter's much-beloved back catalogue. The lineup for Straitjacket Fits featured original members John Collie and Mark Petersen, with Dimmer members James Duncan and Vaughan Williams filling in on bass for David Wood, who passed away in 2010, and the Dimmer set featured Carter, Williams, Duncan and drummer Gary Sullivan (JPSE).
