Listen To Alae's Debut Album 'Henry St'
Auckland indie-folk crew Alae have shared their debut album Henry St. The twelve-track offering was produced collaboratively by the band and Auckland artist Jol Mulholland and was recorded at iconic super city studio The Lab. The collection was three years in the making and is overflowing with heartfelt songwriting and tasteful, understated instrumentation as seen on previous singles ‘All Gived Up’ and ‘Too Strung Up’. You can catch Alae touring throughout Aotearoa in celebration of their new release in November and December. Songwriter Alex Farrell-Davey shared some thoughts on the emotive nature of the record...
“It’s a body of work that we hope comes across as emotionally sincere and relatable - but an album’s meaning can really only exist in the mind of the listener. We’ve spent so long creating the album that it feels like the process is over now – while for everyone else, it’s just begun.”
