Orchestra Of Spheres Unveil Surreal Single ‘Āta’ + Video
Wellington genre-traversers Orchestra Of Spheres have shared a mind-boggling video for their new tune ‘Āta’, which means "reflection and a human shadow" in Te Reo Māori and is "a transliteration of the English name Arthur." The visual adventure depicts a blob named Āta’s quizzical life, metamorphosis and eventual demise, mirroring the sci-fi sonics of the tune to such a startling degree one can’t help but wonder which facet of the audio-visual package was created first. The clip was created by the band, Dan Harris and Nathan Taare (ENT) and features Jonny Marks, aka throat singing maestro of fellow capital city aural brain-benders The All Seeing Hand.
The tune is lifted from the cosmic quintet’s upcoming album Mirror dropping on all formats in early November. Local fans can snap up an advance physical copy at this Saturday's release show at Wellington's Meow alongside The All Seeing Hand, Boss Christ and Lady Lazer Light, before the itinerant costumed crew jump in their flying saucer to tour Europe. Experience ‘Āta’ below...
'Mirror' is out internationally on Friday 2nd November on double LP via Fire Records.
