Girls Rock! Camp Aotearoa Share 2018 Showcase! Compilation

Girls Rock! Camp Aotearoa is back in 2019 following their hugely successful debut programme earlier this year. The musical holiday initiative aims to "empower young women, transgender and gender non-conforming youth by giving them practical skills and role models in a safe, supportive space," and is returning to Central Auckland's MAINZ (Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand) in late January, culminating with an artist showcase event at the end of the week. Members of Street Chant, The Beths, Hex, carb on carb and Wax Chattels contributed their time and considerable skills to create a supportive space for our next generation of musical superstars over this year's week-long programme.

To ramp up excitement even further for next year's initiative, the organisers have lifted the lid on a collection of tunes from the 2018 Showcase! event, highlighting "nine original tunes from campers aged 12-17 that they wrote and recorded in just one week."
