Caught Live: Reb Fountain Plays 'Strangers'
Auckland songwriter Reb Fountain is riding a wave of acclaim for her 2017 collections Hopeful & Hopeless and Little Arrows, recently scooping up this year's Recorded Music NZ Best Country Music Artist and APRA Best Country Music Song awards. She's continuing her winning streak with a headline performance at the Southern Fork Americana Fest 2018 at the Tuning Fork this Friday, with support from fellow Tāmaki Makaurau resident Tom Cunliffe, who recently unveiled his sparkling sophomore album Template for Love.
The multi-evening celebration of Americana in all its stripes continues over the next week with a mouth-watering selection of events featuring Lyttelton alt-country stalwarts The Eastern, Nashville country star Margo Price, Phoenix Arizona singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews and Wellington-based songwriter and poet Emily Fairlight. Get amped for Fountain's performance with recently unearthed intimate live footage of the artist playing a gorgeous rendition of 'Strangers' in a stairwell, while she was in Hawkes Bay playing at the The Sitting Room Sessions house concert series...
