The All Seeing Hand Announce 'Syntax Error' Album Release Tour
Wellington sonic adventurers The All Seeing Hand have announced their latest album Syntax Error will be out in early August, accompanied by a sure to be mind-bending tour of Aotearoa. The genre-destroying trio of Alphabethead (electronics), Ben Knight (drums) and Jonny Marks (vocals) describe their new collection as "reflecting the cognitive dissonance of this very real dystopian future we are presently in; a time that is cracked as the code freezes in contradiction. The screens are jittering, the blocks of language losing meaning, the story of progress paused until the program changes and we can run again."
The All Seeing Hand will be releasing Syntax Error via Wellington experimental label / collective Sonorous Circle - it's the band's fifth studio collection, following on from 2016's Sand to Glass. They'll be joined in their journey by label mate Motte, alongside fellow travellers Orchestra Of Spheres, Strange Stains, Ounce and more. The album is out on Wednesday 1st August and limited edition cassettes of the album will be available at all shows, here are the tour details...

Press release:
The All Seeing Hand are excited to announce the upcoming release of their new album Syntax Error on August 1st, with an album release tour of Aotearoa, and their joining of the Sonorous Circle collective*.
Syntax Error is an album reflecting the cognitive dissonance of this very real dystopian future we are presently in; a time that is cracked as the code freezes in contradiction. The screens are jittering, the blocks of language losing meaning, the story of progress paused until the program changes and we can run again. We are living a Syntax Error. The Program is broken.
The tracks on Syntax Error explore some of the contradictions that coexist in this complex moment, where seemingly all truths claim a capital T, and both the virtual and physical worlds are becoming a manifestation of a troubled mind. But with contradiction there is also hope, a striving for a new truth that recognises multiple voices; there is meditation, mediation, and reflection; there are communities navigating healing and growth; a troubled mind seeks peace.
The All Seeing Hand are traversing Aotearoa to deliver this new sonic exploration of the internal externalised, and the external consumed. Join them in the simulation.
*Formed ten years ago, Sonorous Circle is an artist-run label with a cooperative structure. A place where the All Seeing Hand will be able to be both autonomous and contribute to a shared community of artists, including Seth Frightening and Motte.
