Coyote Share Five Song Collection 'Wine Man: Back 2 The Shop'
Dunedin-based courters of controversy Coyote have unfurled a five track collection of catchy and fuzzed-out songs enigmatically titled Wine Man: Back 2 The Shop. After recently making national headlines with a targeted street art campaign (they were accused of tagging public artworks featuring beloved local legends The Chills and visiting UK songwriter Ed Sheeran) the group have brewed up a fresh batch of sounds to pour down the gullets of new listeners and old. Wine Man: Back 2 The Shop sees Coyote in a more casual, lo-fi mode than their hit-packed debut album Hotel For Dogs, with the tracks still effectively conveying the band's adventurous spirit, conjuring rustic vibes and eerie suburban magic rituals.
Coyote have promised more tunes on the way, and describe the new collection as "kind of like a B-sides album except theres no A-sides in the first place. It's very raw and weirder then most of our other songs. It was painful to make. Wine man is dead. Keep your eyes peeled we'll have a new EP out next week, cheers."
