Lawrence Arabia Shares Single 'Everything's Minimal (with Tiny Ruins)'
Silver Scroll-winning songwriter Lawrence Arabia (James Milne) has teamed up with Tiny Ruins (Hollie Fullbrook) for a stately pop tune titled 'Everything's Minimal', the second song to be released as part of of his ongoing 2018 Singles Club project, which will culminate with the release of a new album at the end of the year. Available only to club members two weeks ago, the graceful single has now been let loose into the wild and can be enjoyed by all. It's not too late to join the club, Milne shared his thoughts around 'Everything's Minimal' in a statement...
"I started writing this a few weeks ago as a kind of delicate baroque folk song. Lyrically, it was just gibberish to start with – there was no subject matter to cling onto, just a slightly more complex, gentle folk melody and chords.
Struck by some of the exceptionally manicured lives I sometimes see on Instagram (which in general I'm trying to shun cos it can make me feel inadequate) I began to conceptualise a folk version of a brag rap approach via kind of a minimal inventory of desirable things and attributes."
