Ounce Share New EP 'Satan II/Dead Mirror'

Up and coming Auckland psych-rockers Ounce have dropped an expertly produced two track EP Satan II / Dead Mirror, taking listeners on heady trip into a demonic netherworld of swirling guitars and kraut-rock jams. They've been making waves on Auckland's live scene since the release of their 'Hooch' single back in May, bringing down the house at the recent B Street festival. The group will be playing alongside fellow traveller Arthur Ahbez at the King's Arms on Saturday 21st October, here's Ounce's Callum Rooney on the new EP... 

"These are just a couple of rough recordings we did at my house on a 4 track with mastering credit to Nich Cunningham. 'Satan II' is kinda about a nuclear dystopia - I got the title from a supposed new bomb Russia has made called the 'Satan II' and I thought it sounded like a rad title - kinda like an 80s arcade game or something haha. 'Dead Mirror' is a bit of a contrast with a heavy funk / afrobeat vibe - that one kinda deals with more psychedelic existentialist freakout vibes, though it's pretty vague!"
