Montreal-based experimental music collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor have shared their sixth album Luciferian Towers. “This, this long-playing record, a thing we made in the midst of communal mess, raising dogs and children. Eyes up and filled with dreadful joy – we aimed for wrong notes that explode, a quiet muttering amplified heavenward. We recorded it all in a burning motorboat.“

Musically the eight compositions are more of the beautiful-yet-crushing post-rock Godspeed You! Black Emperor Is renowned for, albeit in a more optimistic sounding vein then the material from their previous effort, 2015’s Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress. Check it out below…
