San Fran Screamo Crew Loma Prieta Hit New Zealand In June
Relentless riffsters Loma Prieta are hitting New Zealand shores for the first time in five years. The Bay Area crew have been treating audiences to a macabre mix of tight rhythms, dissonant chords and powerful vocals since 2005 and have the nod of approval of unconventional hardcore stalwarts Converge, having toured America with the Jane Doe-penning crew and being signed to Deathwish records, a label co-founded by Converge frontman Jacob Bannon. It stands to reason then that Loma Prieta’s upcoming New Zealand jaunt will be accompanied by post-hardcore upstarts Long Distance Runner in the North Island and the politically charged Yung Nats in the South Island.
