Emerging Auckland solo artist Kitty Taylor has put out an EP of dark alt-country tracks titled Prayers. The tunes oscillate between forlorn lamentations to toe-tapping numbers with somber overtones, reminiscent of the likes of Justin Townes Earl.
Recorded at Soul Cellar Records, the EP features covers of Dusty Springfield's country classic 'Son of a Preacher Man' as well as a version of 'Take Me Away' by Auckland folk minstrel Will Wood. Listen to the five song offering below...
