In tour news this week, we were delighted to discovered that Lisa Carver's noise-punk act Suckdog is coming to New Zealand for two shows next month. Los Angeles rapper Schoolboy Q announced he will be returning for one date off the back of releasing Blank Face LP. Aussie-based alt group Plastic will be here for three performances in early August. In local tour news, Shayne P Carter and band have lined up four dates to celebrate his forthcoming album Offsider. Alt-folk artist Steve Abel also announced a trio of shows to support his upcoming record Luck/Hope. And Auckland musician Dave Weir has got two shows up his sleeve for mid-August to mark the release of his debut solo EP.
In local release news, Wellington multi-instrumentalist Vera Ellen has shared her gorgeous new piano-driven song '21'. Trust Punks gave us another taster of their upcoming record Double Bind. Further abroad, Banks lifted the lid on her impressive new single 'Fuck With Myself'. And Thee Oh Sees shared a new single 'The Axis' which has been on high rotate around the UTR office.
