Space Above brings together the talents of Aaron Short (The Naked And Famous) and Sam McCarthy (BOYBOY), who met in LA and were quickly joined by Maddie North (So Below). Bound together by their mutual admiration of mind-altering electronic music, the trio have conjured up debut single 'Shades' as Short explains below...
"'Shades' was born out of a month of very consolidated techno listening between Sam and I. More so than usual. It started after hearing Sam rolling a 4 to the floor loop through the floorboards of his studio. Going downstairs and being hit by noises that felt like they should have been created 15 years ago was so immediately inspiring, and we just went deep on it from there."
