Listen/Watch: Tami Neilson - Lonely (Feat. Marlon Williams)
Award-winning country musician Tami Neilson has unveiled new single 'Lonely' featuring guest vocals from none other than Marlon Williams. The track is a first taste of Neilson's new album and has song sentimental ties for the songstress, it is the last song her father Ron ever wrote as explained below...
"This song was begun in 1972 by a young Ron Neilson, who recorded a demo outside a hotel room while on tour across Canada. Decades later, it was completed by his daughter Tami and son Jay when they discovered the demo a week after he passed away in February 2015. While grief and loss are entwined in a melancholy dance throughout the lyrics, the music and melody are brought back to life to celebrate the man who laid the foundations of Tami’s musical career. Released on Ron’s birthday, Tami remembers her father in this fitting tribute."
The song is lifted from forthcoming album Don't Be Afraid, which follows her phenomenal 2014 offering Dynamite, and is slated for release on 25th September. Soak up 'Lonely' with this lovely clip directed by Tim McInnes...
Tami Neilson is teaming up with Delaney Davidson, Marlon Williams and Barry Saunders for The Church Tour which kicks off in October. Head over here for more information.
