Beautiful Is The Listening Ear promises to be a monumental night as Ōtepoti-based band IVY teams up with the Dunedin Youth Orchestra!
This collaboration highlights the incredible talent of young musicians from the Ōtepoti area, merging vibrant melodies with the rich textures of orchestral arrangements. Known for their eclectic blend of prog rock and orchestral sounds, IVY promises to deliver a captivating performance that will resonate with audiences of all ages.
Expect an evening filled with fresh interpretations of original songs arranged by Ōtepoti’s own Maddy Parkins-Craig and renowned composer Anthony Ritchie. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the scene, this concert is a unique opportunity to experience two distinctly different musical worlds converging to construct magic together.
Door will open at 7pm and two fabulous local acts will open the show, the up and coming and enchanting solo artist Keira Wallace on vocals and guitar, and the eclectic and compelling group Mea Culpa, with singer songwriters Leigham Fitzpatrick and Emma Wells, and Ari van Eerten on bass and Nashoba Addai on percussion.
The venue has ground level access, is a standing concert with some bar style seating on the sides.
It is an all ages event, however as per the alcohol license at Errick's, under 18 year olds need to be accompanied.
