Young Baptist
Young Baptist are a four piece Tamaki based alternative rock band featuring ex members of Mice On Stilts, Echo Ohs, Toldeo Springs, Sex Pest, Outrun the Buffalo and Te Kooti Brotherhood. The project was originally born around 2017 with single Ice Cold Sensation released in 2019. However it wasn't until mid 2024 that singer and guitarist Hugh Collins decided it was time to make the band a living breathing organism. He reached out to drummer, and former colleague, Emlyn Williams, and the pair began working on material. They were soon joined by Tim Burrows on lead guitar and Nico Fitzpatrick on bass, former band mates in Outrun the Buffalo. Influences include The Smashing Pumpkins, The Verve, The Dandy Warhols, Nirvana, Beach House, Torche and The War On Drugs

Meddles ( acoustic solo ) - New to the scene, Meddles unapologetically play out honest and gritty rock n’ roll that’s delivered with swagger. The songs’ lyrics unite introspection and hope, whilst taking the listener along for a story.
