We’re thrilled to announce a special performance for Waitangi Week 2025 at The Turner Centre! Get ready for an unforgettable night with Kōhia, Kerikeri’s dynamic 4-piece band, blending Rock, R&B, and Reggae in an electrifying fusion of sound.
Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Lili, with Teina on guitar, Harry on bass, and Mokai on drums, Kōhia brings a fresh, high-energy performance that will ignite the stage. Ka kawe mai te ahi me te takahi marunga te ao nei – We bring the heat and the stomp upon the world. Just like the Kohia plant, which burns slowly when dry, the band carries the warmth of tradition, keeping the fire alive from village to village and now sharing that spark with audiences across Aotearoa and beyond.
