O & The Mo are thrilled to announce their Make Way For The Sun Tour this summer, celebrating the release of their highly anticipated new album.
15 Feb – The Mussel Inn, Tākaka
Kicking off in the sun-soaked Nelson Tasman region, the tour will see O & The Mo joined by their deluxe five-piece band as they pop-top their way across the country in their trusty & dusty Mazda323. They’ll also cross the ditch for a select run of Australian shows, before making their way back to their hometown of Wellington for a grand (free!) finale at Cuba Dupa Festival.
Set for release in January 2025, O & The Mo’s album Make Way For The Sun marks an exciting new chapter for the project. Blooming with colour, groove, and hypnotic layered songs, this record ends an almost five-year hiatus.
Written & recorded in their home studio—a small hut tucked away in the serene Wakapuaka Valley—the album represents a stretching on limbs and a slow awareness being brought back to the all encompassing pace of the new world. Central to the album’s sound is their signature handmade nīkau palm guitar, which weaves its distinctive warmth throughout the tracks.
From the swirling synths and ethereal vocal arrangements of The High to the cathartic, rhythm-driven title track Make Way For The Sun, this album signals a bold new direction for O & The Mo’s evolving sound.
Don’t miss the chance to experience their spellbinding live performances this summer.
