Varda are alternative synth pop duo featuring Alison O’Reilly, formerly of Sydney psych band The Dandelion and Ru from Unsanitary Napkin and Displeasure. UTR described them as “an emotionally transportive shimmering mosaic of majestic guitars and motorik grooves”.
Juniper May is the solo experiment of Lora May (Lorazepam). An intimate outing with more emphasis on building atmosphere, looping and layering ambient and noise samples with a pop melodic sensibility (and occasional kicks). Less polish, more feeling.
