The 1 December show features Zach Newton, CP3o, The Faustians and Dee van Wel
Zach Newton - Zach is a singer with a background of a variety of genres, and enjoys writing and producing music. He loves playing live and watching musicians around the Welly scene.
CP3o - Complicated songs about simple things, sung from the heart. Barry Carters' journey as a songwriter has been a long and winding one. From learning Classical piano and composition at the NZ School of Music in Auckland, to Indie Rock bands in Sydney before he ended up living in the USA where he played Americana and Celtic music. Now back in NZ he is traveling down a jazz influenced road adding and changing chords accordingly. He has also recorded three albums, all of which included original songs.
The Faustians - Shaped by the Appalachian Old-time traditions, The Faustians present original songs of post-apocalyptic dreamscapes, poverty, madness, fugitives
and vision. Helena Faust, Philip Muollo, Megan Ward and Bill Vella deliver mountain vocals with harmonies, banjo, double bass and fiddle driving haunting lyrics over lovely melodic lines.
Dee van Wel - Organic, dynamic, and heartfelt, Dee van Wel is a blossoming singer-songwriter based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. They have performed across Aotearoa for several years as a solo artist and in their band Hearth. Comprised of a glittering guitar sound and swirling vocals, their songwriting resonates with authenticity and warmth.
