30th November - Te Upoko o te Ika/Wellington
Simloco is joined by Te Matau-a-Māui/Hawkes Bay based artists; Joe Cole and Nick Herbison for a night of indie, hip-hop, folk, roots, acoustic and blues.
Nick Herbison writes with an emphasis on lyricism, inviting the listener into his contemporary views on life purpose, spirituality and society. His taste in music has seen him explore genres from indie rock, blues, folk, roots, alt-pop and reggae.
Joe Cole was born and raised in Te Ūpoko o te Ika/Wellington and now chooses to reside along the sunny shores of Te Matau-a-Māui/Hawkes Bay. His music sings allegiance to his english and Irish roots with a strong folk sound. Although Joe leaps between genres with his love for indie rock, blues, roots and reggae.
Simloco is a Kapiti made musician bringing you tastes of hip-hop, roots and indie. His love for all forms of art and his messages of encouraging diversity and individuality; come together in a glorious celebration of love. The performance will be a 3-piece band rounding off the night of soulful melodies.
